Every single one of us goes through painful periods of our lives. It’s a natural part of our existence.
No doubt, we also share moments of great joy, love, and community.
But, when we have a terrible experience, a devastating loss, or go through difficult times in our lives, we tend to remember this pain and suffering more so than the victories and love we have shared.
As time passes, the shock of these negative experiences may wane. But often not without us coating them with self-doubt, which can then stick with us for many years, if not forever!
The “stickiness” of self-doubt from blurred past events, forces us to carry the weight of many painful experiences as we travel through life.
No doubt, the cumulative weight impacts our ability to fully experience the present and live a fulfilled life. It blocks us from seeing the potential and the wide spectrum of opportunities that lay before us every single day.
It can, during many times, paralyze us.
So, how do we cope with these feelings of self-doubt? How do we get rid of them so that we can move forward and live a more fulfilled life?
In my experience, the only thing that has worked for me is faith.
That’s it, really.
In my life, faith is the only thing that can remove feelings of self-doubt and destroy the fears that tend to creep in from time to time.
And the only way to have faith is to block out all the noise, negative messaging, and distractions that I am often bombarded with at every moment of my regular day, and re-connect with my spirit.
Again, I block out the noise and reconnect.
Our spirit, I believe, is plugged into the universe as a whole, or at least it wants to be.
Our spirit always longs to be reconnected with its source.
By reconnecting with our spirit, we are able to bond with this universal Source.
But, what is this Source, exactly?
Well, many people have different names for it. Some people may call the Source: “God”, “Life”, and the “Great Spirit”.
The Source is all these things.
I believe the Source is the Intelligence that is within everything. It holds the creativity that formed the earth and everything in it, including you and me.
The essence of this Source is pure intelligence. This intelligence operates within specific laws that creates order in the universe.
And this is where things move in our favor.
I believe that these universal laws, are skewed in a direction that wants us to succeed. After all, why would the universe have laws or create a system that fights against itself?
The truth is, that the universe doesn’t have such laws geared towards our defeat. Rather, its laws are built into favoring our very success. Your success. My success.
When God said that he created humanity in his own image, I believe this wasn’t necessarily a physical image per se, but of one of pure intelligence.
It’s the same intelligence that makes up the order of universe and the same intelligence that creates Life.
In other words, just as Life creates life from itself, God created us using this same intelligence.
Perhaps this all might sound like a New Age theory, awkwardly inserted in an e-commerce website, but I don’t think so.
Every culture on the planet has the belief that we are a part of something greater and that “something” is ultimately what we wish to reconnect with.
And this leads me back to the original proposition: The only way to connect with this Source is through blocking out the noise and through faith.
By accessing the power of this Source, we are able to unlock our creativity, our true passion, and our success.
When we find ourselves connected through faith, we begin to realize that we have everything we need for us to be successful.
We all possess the creativity and talents we need for us to fully experience life just as the way it was meant to be experienced.
If we truly believe that we were created by God (Life) itself; if we truly believe that we were created with the same Intelligence that exists within the universe, then we can believe that (God) Life wants us to be successful.
The universe wants us to be successful.
I will say it again:
The universe wants us to be successful.
If you believe that.
If you let it sink in.
I can tell you that good things will begin to happen.
Just as we love our children and we want to see them succeed, so too does Life and the intelligence within the universe wants us to succeed.
It’s okay if you don’t quite see it that way or if it’s kind of a difficult idea to wrap your brain around. I get it.
After all, this isn’t an argument that we hear every day.
How often are we told (or personally affirm) that life is meant to be tough, hard, and filled with constant battles? How often are we told that we were meant to struggle a lot before we die?
Is this the ultimate plan God has for us?
Is this the reasoning behind the intelligence that created us?
If you have had the experience of having children, you will understand that you didn’t create them to have them live a life of hardship.
Rather, you want your children to live abundant lives. And you want to create a straight forward and unobstructed path for them to move through life successfully.
This is what God wants for us too. This is what life wants for us. And this is what the universe and all its laws wants for us.
For me, there is no question, that we unlock this destiny of abundance and success through our faith.
We have to affirm and believe that the universe wants these things for us. What we believe in, what we contemplate, and what we focus on, has a way of manifesting itself into our reality.
“Always we are brought back to this fundamental truth, that life is a mirror and that external happenings are objective correspondences of inner contemplations,” wrote Ernest Holmes.
I believe these words with all my heart.
What we picture and believe in, will come to manifest itself in our lives.
In other words, having faith can completely change our lives. Having faith can shift ourselves within a universe that really does want us to succeed.
But is it just this easy?
Would you believe me if I said, yes?
Here is what I know: it takes the same amount of energy to have faith in ourselves and in the ability of the universe to provide for the all the things we need, as the amount of energy we often give to feed our doubts and fears.
What if, instead of feeding our fears, we put our energy into faith?
What if we begin to affirm to ourselves the truth that the universe wants us to win?
How would this fundamental shift in our thinking and belief impact our quality of life? How would this impact our day-to-day living?
Would we walk around more confident? Would we make better decisions? Would we be more apt to pursue our dreams?
I believe that by affirming the basic notion that the universe wants us to win, you will begin to see a transformation in everything we do, in everything that we plan to do.
It will help melt away the self-doubt.
It will motivate us to live an inspired life.
It will help us to step forward and achieve the things we have passion for.
All this, originates from our Faith.
