Setting Up Your Online Store
You will have plenty of options to choose from if you decide that you want to start your own online store. I think there are two general routes you can take when it comes to building out your website:
Shopify – setting up your website with Shopify if easy. Really, easy. If you want to skip on the hassle of learning “how to code” a website and want to hit the ground running with selling your product or service, then I highly recommend Shopify. (Start your free trial here)
Blue Host – Creating your very own website is easy with Blue Host. Plus there is nothing more valuable than having a dependable company that can help you 24/7 with any technical issues you may have.
I’ve used Blue Host for some time now and always recommend them. If you need help creating a website or using Blue Host, I’ve actually creating some helpful videos to get you started. (Get Hosting and Your Free Domain Name Here.)
Your Website Theme
You will want to create the ‘look and feel' of your website that works for you and your goals. Today you have thousands of options. I generally look for my website themes in two places:
Theme Forest – There are thousands of free Word Press themes that you can use to get started. However, many if not all these themes have some type of limitation, because they are free.
If you want more options and customizations with your website, you can either hire a website designer or you can buy a website theme. I’ve been using Themeforest for years. Consider checking out their library of WordPress Websites and WordPress plugins!
Studio Press – Studio press offers a clean and well maintained selection of WordPress themes. This website is build on a Studio Press theme. I have found that Studio Press themes may be a little more complicated to customize if you are starting out.
